BEAT works by reading your DJ's publicly accessible audio stream URL. This is the same Icecast or Shoutcast URL your listeners use to tune in.
- A publicly accessible audio stream URL
- Format: Icecast or Shoutcast (MP3 or AAC)
- Example:
https://yourgrid.com/listen/your_stream/radio.mp3
Important: The stream URL must be publicly accessible. BEAT cannot connect to private or password-protected streams.
- Log in to your dashboard at app.onbeat.video
- In the Stream URL field, paste your DJ's audio stream URL
- Click Connect
- Watch the EQ visualizer at the top of the dashboard — if it springs to life showing audio levels, BEAT is successfully receiving the stream
- You are now ready to select a preset and go live

- Make sure the URL ends in the stream mount (e.g.
/radio.mp3 or /stream)
- Test the URL in your browser first — if it plays audio, BEAT can use it
- If the EQ visualizer is flat/silent, the stream may be offline or the URL may be incorrect
